Programmatic Online Media Buying Coordinator

The role is to assist the Programmatic Director – to programme, manage, track, optimise and report online display campaigns for ad agency and direct clients across multiple DSPs (Demand Side Platforms) and DMPs (Data Management Platforms).

About the Job

The role is to assist the Agency Sales Director and Agency Account Managers in the smooth facilitation, implementation and running of online campaigns. The role coordinates with the programmatic trafficking team to ensure effective management, tracking, optimisation and reporting of all online display/video/native campaigns for ad agency and direct clients across multiple DSPs and a DMP.


Job Description:

  • Set up programming of DSP, Social and Adword campaigns

  • Optimisation of these campaign vs. targets

  • Consistently exceed campaign KPIs

  • Trafficking of allocated campaigns

  • Campaign reporting on time and in a timely manner

  • Set up of and continual reviewing our campaign reporting systems

  • You may be required from time to time to test new tools or DSP/DMP features and involved in product development

  • Key account management of assigned tier 1 agencies which will include set ups, support and training

  • Develop strong client relationships and solid supplier partnerships

  • Exceed service standards and response times

  • Provide a high level of client service and enthusiasm for both external and internal clients

  • Over time, be multi-skilled in understanding and being able to efficiently and effectively run campaigns across all our DSPs and DMPs platforms

  • Desk research to find appropriate articles to input into AOL weekly newsletter and online research for AOL HubSpot marketing campaign content


Remuneration of $45,000 pa paid fortnightly.

A standard trial period of 3 months will be required so both parties are satisfied with the scope of the job and performance.

Digital Media Coordinator

Job Description:

  • Assisting the Agency Sales Director and Agency Account Managers in the servicing of clients and client relationship building

  • Client liaison and relationship building

  • Creating, editing and writing campaign proposals from briefs

  • Processing of client sales and service agreements

  • Managing, updating and confirming bookings through our media software system - AdteamPro

  • Working directly with the clients, when assigned, to assist with projects being delivered efficiently

  • Monitoring, management and reporting of all campaign KPIs vs targets

  • Optimisation and reporting of all online display/video/mobile/native campaigns

  • Follow up of all creative material including the checking of material to ensure no hold ups in campaign start

  • Facilitating monthly invoices to clients

  • Ensuring campaign reporting happens on time and in a timely manner

  • Exceed service standards and response times

  • Provide a high level of client service and enthusiasm for both external and internal clients

  • Assist the Agency Account Managers with desk research to input to sales proposals

  • Undertake training as directed to ensure you understand both client servicing/agency relationship building roles as well as the programmatic buying and campaign optimisation process

  • Gain Google Adwords certification and become Hubspot certified

  • Working alongside Agency Account Managers to attend meetings in order to become conversant with the Agency Account Manager’s role. The career path would be to then move into an Junior Account Manager role

Salary of $40,000 pa, performance based incentives are additional.

Senior Ad Operations

In broad terms, our team is responsible for managing and optimising the programmatic ad inventory buying for many of New Zealand’s leading brands - and for achieving KPI’s for campaigns and campaign profitability.

In broad terms, our team is responsible for managing and optimising the programmatic ad inventory buying for many of New Zealand’s leading brands - and for achieving KPI’s for campaigns and campaign profitability.


Breaking it down, it looks a bit like this:

  • You will have to work with management to understand our client’s requirements, then come-up with strategies to meet them

  • You will have to process a large volume of data and conduct detailed investigations into accuracy and integrity

  • You will need the ability to work on multiple DSPs and maintain accurate unified reporting for the same

  • You will need to be able to analyse data to identify trends and patterns and share the results through effective presentation (eg charts, graphs in excel or PowerPoint)

  • We’ll train you and grow your skill set on the job!

  • The ability to develop strong client relationships and solid supplier partnerships

  • The will to constantly up-skill and keep abreast of changing technology

  • Familiarity with the Internet industry and online advertising sector is a plus
